Cotton embroidery on faux leather mask with print.

The lucha libre mask is made from fabric pieces purchased in Shepherd’s Bush and embroidered with cotton thread made in Mexico and purchsed in South El Paso street. The image backdrop is taken from the tenth floor of the Paso del Norte Hotel in El Paso, Texas, which overlooks South El Paso street, the Paso del Norte International Bridge, and the border between El Paso and Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. Ni Una Más is a feminist movement that calls for an end to femicide in the area and beyond – pink crosses remember those who have died or disappeared.
